I present to you:
52 Weeks of Whatever
I got the general idea for this from a friend who is challenging herself and her husband to do one new thing each week. Given that I'm not that clever and I'm boring, I've decided to share some of the less ridiculous things I come up with in the moments that I find humor in life. For the next year I will share at least one thing each week that makes me a little less angry.Week One (1/1/13 - 1/7/13)
I decided at about midnight one night that I really loved that the PBS Station in Carbondale was playing Les Miserables so I drunkenly called the station and talked the lady's ear off. I then donated $20 to the cause. They sent me a letter but I don't like taking mail out of the mailbox so it's still in there.
Quote of the Week: Actually, I'm pretty sure that of all the people I know, you are the least thug. Even my own mom. -HHR
Week Two (1/8/13 - 1/14/13)
I started thinking about flash drives and USB ports and how one time I saw a flash drive that looked like an animal. I then spent about twenty minutes taking apart a Wall-E figure that I had in my office. Prying apart poor Wall-E's wheels and using needle-nosed pliers to pull excess plastic away proved to be a bit traumatizing (for me and for him).
GREAT SUCCESS.
It's okay, Wall-E, I'm a little embarrassed too.
Quote of the Week: You can have the wine. I get the cherry SoCo. -Nick
